Bailes Granite & Marble

Bailes Granite & Marble is a premiere stone countertop fabricator in West Virginia. Bailes was originally a glass company but expanded their expertise to stone fabrication. I was brought in to redesign their logo and brand to reflect this new business model. When designing the logo I thought it would be cool if the symbol had an expression of the transformation process of the stone-from slab to a finished piece. This expression was created by using rough edges on the left and top of the symbol with a column cut out of the slab from the right.
